TRPV5

A gene on chromosome 7q35 that encodes a calcium-selective cation channel which has 6 transmembrane-spanning domains, forms homo- or heterotetramers and is activated by a low internal calcium levels. The TRPV5 channel is activated by a low internal calcium levels, and is involved in Ca2+ absorption and reabsorption in the kidney and intestine.

For determination of Cat2 gene expression, total RNA was isolated from the shoot of tomato (0.1 g) by using Trizol (Invitrogen, USA).
In this report, at mRNA level, Cat2 gene expression was probed under Cd toxicity.
The 160, 320 and 1280 uM of Cd+2 treatments led to a increased in catalase gene expression level compared to the control, Cat2 gene expression levels were increased significantly at 320 uM of Cd+2, which indicates that Cat2 was strongly up regulated by this concentration.
If the PRF is expanded further to include a dummy variable for the Cat2 occupation (or, as specified, a dummy variable for college), the PRF becomes
Now there is perfect mulicollinearity between Educ and Cat2 because Educ equals 12 or 16 and determines occupational assignment perfectly.
ln[W.sub.2] = [a.sub.2] + [b.sub.2]Educ + [g.sub.2]Female + error for Cat2.
Also, the application of specific primers for cat1,2 and cat 2,3 genes encoding for production of catechol 1,2 dioxygenase and catechol 2,3 dioxygenase enzymes respectively, resulted in amplification of 203 base pair of cat2,3 gene and 605 bp product of cat1,2.
