CAPPP

Capatientopril Prevention Project. A trial comparing the cardiovascular and other effects of captopril to conventional therapy in managing hypertension.

Conclusion
Cardiovascular mortality was slightly reduced with captopril (p = 0.092, and thus not statistically significant); rates of MI were similar; the incidence of stroke was higher with captopril (RR 1.25; p = 0.044—i.e., barely significant).

CAPPP

Cardiology A randomized, open label, placebo-controlled, multicenter trial designed to compare the effectiveness of conventional therapy vs captopril on cardiovascular M&M in Pts with HTN. See Antihypertensive, Captopril, Hypertension.
