CAB sequence

CAB sequence

The new order of emergency life support recommended by the American Heart Association for adult victims of sudden cardiac arrest, which in 2010 replaced the AHA’s long-standing ABC sequence recommendation. In the CAB sequence: 
C—Chest compression is followed by
A—Airway maintenance and
B—Breathing.
