A gene on chromosome 17p13.1 that encodes a C-type lectin domain protein which plays a role in adaptive and innate immune responses. BCLEC10A binds to terminal galactose and N-acetylgalactosamine units, which are linked to serine or threonine and seen in various carcinoma cells.
