Bour·don gauge(bŭr'dŏn gāj)
A type of measuring device used with compressed medical gas. It consists of a coiled metal tube connected to gears and an indicator needle. The tube is straightened and the needle moves in proportion to the gas pressure. The device may also be calibrated to measure flow.
