BST1(redirected from Bone marrow stromal antigen 1)
BST1A gene on chromosome 4p15 that encodes bone marrow stromal cell antigen-1, a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-GPI-anchored molecule that facilitates pre-B-cell growth by synthesising cyclic ADP-ribose, a second messenger that elicits calcium release from intracellular stores.
The polyclonal B-cell changes in rheumatoid arthritis may be partly due to BST1 overexpression in stromal cells.
