Biomax

Biomax

A family of proprietary—DuPont—renewably sourced resins and modifiers of bio-based plastics. Biomax incorporates up to 3 aliphatic monomers, which create weak points in the polymers, making them susceptible to hydrolysis; once the polymers are reduced in size, they can be consumed by soil microbes and converted into CO2 and H2O. Biomax can be recycled, incinerated or landfilled, but is primarily intended for composting and in-soil degradation.
