Bear Claw Appearance

An endoscopic finding in moderately severe ulcerative colitis, in which coalescence of superficial erosions and ulcers leads to the formation of characteristic linear ulcers, surrounded by diffusely inflamed mucosa. Note: Like most characteristic of ulcerative colitis, bear claw ulceration is non-specific and has been described in Crohn’s disease and diverticulosis
