NTRK2(redirected from BDNF-tropomyosine receptor kinase B)
NTRK2A gene on chromosome 9q22.1 that encodes neurotrophic tyrosine kinase receptor type 2 (TrkB), which has the highest affinity for brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and is involved in neuronal plasticity, long-term potentiation and apoptosis of CNS neurons. TrkB is activated by BDNF, but also by NT-3 and NT-4.
