NPM-ALK has also been shown to modulate or associate with molecules involved with the ubiquitin-proteasome machinery, such as heat shock protein 90, heat shock protein 70, RanBP2, SUMO E3 ligase (small ubiquitin-like modifier), BAG2 (BCL2-associated athanogene 2), and ubiquitin carboxy-terminal hydrolase.
