MKKS(redirected from BBS6)
MKKSA gene on chromosome 20p12 that encodes a protein of the BBS/CCT complex which may play a role in the assembly of BBSome, a complex involved in ciliogenesis. MKKS is a putative molecular chaperone that assists protein folding after ATP hydrolysis; it may play a role in cytokinesis and in protein processing during limb, cardiac and reproductive system development.
