Atenolol Silent ISchemia Trial. A long-term clinical trial which evaluated atenolol’s effect on morbidity and mortality in patients with coronary heart disease and/or silent myocardial ischaemia.Conclusion Significant reductions in ischaemic episodes and events occurred with atenolol treatment compared to placebo at 1 year.
