Specifically, P&G would take over marketing responsibility for the entire Rorer O-T-C line, including Maalox and Ascriptin. In return, Rorer would get exclusive marketing rights to certain drugs (primarily gastrointestinal preparations) under development, such as De-Nol, an antiulcer medication currently under Food and Drug Administration review.
The plan is to offer Myoflex coupons with Ascriptin A/D, which is used mostly by arthritics, in an attempt to gain new users.
