ASymptomatic Cervical Bruit study. A study assessing the causes of vascular events in asymptomatic patients with carotid atherosclerosis identified by cervical bruits; ASCB later tested the effects of aspirin on carotid stenosis.
Conclusion At an interim analysis in 1994, aspirin was deemed worthless in reducing adverse outcomes, and the trial was ended.
