ALARP

As Low As Reasonably Practical. The principle promulgated by the Royal College of Radiologists which weighs the risk of exposure to radiation against the potential benefit of the study, and takes the “low road” where possible. The standard is essentially the same as the Americans’ ALARA–As Low As Reasonably Achievable.
