ARPC4(redirected from Arp2/3 complex 20-kDa subunit)
ARPC4A gene on chromosome 3p25.3 that encodes p20, one of the seven subunits of the Arp2/3 protein complex, which is thought to control actin polymerisation. P20 is necessary for actin nucleation and high-affinity binding to F-actin; it is involved in regulating actin polymerisation and with an activating nucleation-promoting factor (NPF) mediates the formation of branched actin networks.
