Arnon, Daniel

(1910-) American biochemist. With his co-workers in the 1950s, he first discovered electron passage from one electron-acceptor to another in the ELECTRON TRANSPORT SYSTEM of PHOTOSYNTHESIS, particularly the role of ferredoxin.
