AMIArgatroban in Myocardial Infarction trial. A phase II dosing study of the direct thrombin inhibitor, Argatroban, as an adjunct to thrombolytic therapy with streptokinase in managing acute myocardial infarction (MI).
Primary angiographic outcome Degree of flow at 90-minute angiography
Primary outcomes 30-day mortality, new MI, congestive heart failure, shock, need for urgent intervention.
Conclusion In patients treated with streptokinase for acute MI, Argatroban didn’t improve 90-minute TIMI flow rates; patients did slightly better, but the improvement wasn’t statistically significant.
