aliasing

A phenomenon that occurs when digitising less than two samples per period in a periodic function, where the anatomy being imaged by magnetic resonance extends beyond the field of view (FOV). Areas extending beyond the FOV boundaries are aliased back into the image to appear at artefactual locations.

ali·as·ing

(āl'ē-ăs-ing)
Magnetic resonance imaging artifact produced when anatomy outside the field of view is mismapped inside it.

Developed sensory system consists of microphone array with 15 omnidirectional condenser microphones with optimised geometry for frequency range of 1500 Hz to 2000 Hz and 16 channel preamplifier combined with anti-aliasing filter.
He called the anti-aliasing device, which he described as an optical filter between the camera's lens and the CCD array, a worthwhile improvement whose image softening was easy to compensate for in Photoshop.
Sharp, programmable six-pole low-pass precision filters support two response characteristics, which are optimized for making time-domain (such as shock) or frequency-domain (such as anti-aliasing) measurements.
The program automatically applies anti-aliasing filters for smooth edges of the cutout, and quickly processes even larger images.
Featuring four separate 24-bit A/D converters with integrated anti-aliasing filters and a high simultaneous sampling rate of up to 52 kS/s per channel, the module is intended for high-accuracy measurements using dynamic sensors.
Performance enhancements have occurred as well, in F1 2010 (for systems with single AMD Radeon HD 5800- or 6000-series cards running without anisotropic filtering and anti-aliasing enabled), and Left 4 Dead 2 (for systems with single or multicard setups with 6800-series cards or single 6900-series cards and no anisotropic filtering or anti-aliasing).
The ZOTAC GeForceA GTX 480 and GeForceA GTX 470 graphics cards take gaming to uncharted levels with new MicrosoftA DirectXA 11, 32x anti-aliasing, NVIDIAA 3D Visionao Surround and HDMI 1.3a technologies.
This means that, in addition to video input and many 2D and 3D rendering functions, there is a flexible layer concept, support for screen resolution of up to XGA (1024x768) and other features in the area of navigation, such as alpha-blending and anti-aliasing. All GDCs have a CPU interface that enables the direct connection of embedded CPUs and MCUs.
Low-pass or band-pass anti-aliasing filters directly preceding the ADC inputs can limit harmonics generated by other components from coupling into adjacent channels, though at the cost of attenuating the signal of interest.
* Anti-aliasing filtering via a combination of analog and digital FIR filters.
It consists of the following main components: three microphone units with integrated preamplifier, 3-channel automatic gain control amplifier with output anti-aliasing filter and evaluation unit--in this case standard personal computer equipped with multifunction Advantech PCI-1716 data acquisition card.
The G34 is a 3D graphics processor with an OpenGL ES 1.1 feature set which supports scenes with tens of thousands of polygons with full anti-aliasing and 32-bit colour at over 30f/s for gaming.
