the branch passing ventral or toward the front; TA lists anterior branch or branches of the following: 1) great auricular nerve, 2) left and right superior pulmonary veins, 3) medial cutaneous nerve of the forearm, 4) obturator artery, 5) obturator nerve, 6) renal artery, 7) right branch of portal vein, 8) right hepatic duct, and 9) ulnar recurrent artery.
