ANXA1

A gene on chromosome 9q21.13 that encodes annexin 1, a calcium/phospholipid-binding protein that promotes membrane fusion and is involved in exocytosis. Annexin 1 regulates phospholipase A2 activity and thus may have anti-inflammatory activity.

57) Hairy cell leukemia is positive for all common B-cell antigens (CD19, CD20, CD79a, FMC-7, and PAX5), with characteristic expression of annexin A1 (Figure 7, A), CD11c, CD25, CD103, CD123, DBA-44 (CD72) (Figure 7, B), the Hector Battifora mesothelial epitope-1 (HBME-1), pERK, Tbet, and TRAP58-61 but is typically negative for CD5 and CD10, although 10% to 20% of HCLs are positive for CD10.

Hairy cell leukemia expresses bright pan-B-cell antigens and, uniquely among B-cell neoplasms, strongly expresses CD11c, CD25, CD103, CD123, and annexin A1 typical ly.
However, HCL-v typically lacks expression of CD25, CD123, and annexin A1, which are all almost always expressed in classic HCL.

In this study we investigated the in vitro effects of resveratrol on the apoptotic cascades in human promyelocyte leukemia (HL-60) cells and first demonstrated that growth arrest- and DNA damage-induced gene 45 [alpha] (GADD45 [alpha]) and annexin A1 are involved in the apoptosis effects of resveratrol in these cells.
Nitrocellulose membranes (Millipore, Bedford, MA, USA) were incubated overnight at 4[degrees]C with mouse annexin A1 monoclonal antibody or rabbit polyclonal antibodies against human Bcl-2, Bax, GADD45 [alpha] or cleaved caspase 3.
The protein expression of annexin A1 was increased with resver-atrol treatment (Fig.
