ADRA1B(redirected from Alpha-1B adrenoceptor)
ADRA1BA gene on chromosome 5q33.3 that encodes alpha-1B-adrenergic receptor, a member of the G protein-coupled receptor superfamily, which activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system, triggering mitogenic responses and regulating growth, proliferation and signalling through the Gq/11 family of G proteins.
ADRA1B has been identified as a proto-oncogene.
