bungarotoxin

One of three (alpha, beta, gamma) closely related anticholinergic neurotoxins derived from venom of the snakes of the genus Bungarus—e.g., Bungarus multicinctus.

Action
Bungarotoxins inhibit acetylcholine binding to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, preventing depolarisation at the postsynaptic membrane of the neuromuscular junction.
