rhinoceros

an odd-toed ungulate in the family Rhinocerotidae of the order Perissodactyla, with a massive size, thick, armourplate-like skin and one or two horns low down in the middle of the face. They are herbivorous, partly nocturnal, unpredictable and aggressive. There are several genera including Diceros (white and black rhinos), Ceratotherium simum (white rhino), Dicerorhinus (Sumatran rhino) and Rhinoceros (Indian rhino).
