AGISAdvanced Glaucoma Intervention Study. A clinical trial assessing long-range outcomes of medical and surgical management in advanced glaucoma, using visual function status to compare two intervention sequences: trabeculectomy first, then argon laser trabeculoplasty for failed therapy (or vice versa).
Conclusion Black patients did better with laser first, white patients with trabeculoplasty first.
