Ad·e·no·pho·ra·si·da

(ad'ĕ-nō-fō-ras'i-dă),
A class of nematodes lacking lateral canals opening into the excretory system and phasmids, with few or no caudal papillae, eggs unsegmented, and with polar plugs or hatching in utero. It includes the genera Trichuris, Capillaria, and Trichinella among important parasites of humans and domestic animals.

Adenophorea

A subclass class of nematodes, which has been abandoned by modern taxonomists because the members were a collection of phylogenetically unrelated roundworms.

They are further classified as Secernentea (Phasmidia) or Adenophorea (Aphasmidia).
Taxonomicamente se encontraron 29 generos de nematodos pertenecientes a dos clases: Secernentea, ubicados en los ordenes Aphelenchida, Monhysterida, Rhabditida y Tylenchida, y Adenophorea, ubicados en los ordenes Araeolaimida, Dorylaimida y Triplonchida; encontrandose la mayor cantidad de generos, 11 en total, de habito bacteriofago pertenecientes al orden Rhabditida (Tabla 1).
Los nematodos de la clase Adenophorea son indicadores de estabilidad y ausencia de contaminantes debido a que su cuticula, que es mucho mas permeable que los nematodos del orden Tylenchida, les impide desarrollarse en ecosistemas o zonas contaminadas (BONGERS & FERRIS, 2009).
