AdVEGF

AdVEGF

Adenovirus Vector Containing Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor. A bioengineered vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) with mixed reviews in effecting therapeutic angiogenesis. It garnered positive results in the REVASC trial, which assessed VEGF’s effect on coronary arteries, but was not successful in RAVE, a trial which examined VEGF’s effect on blood flow in peripheral artery disease.
