Acute Common Care Stem

A term used in graduate education in the UK for a core training which may be taken over a period of two years by doctors specialising in acute medicine, anaesthesiology, emergency medicine and intensive care. At the end of the core two years, the trainee continues in a post that is specific to his/her specialty.
