Absorption Spectroscopy
A method which measures the ability of particles—solutes—in a solution to absorb light over a range of wavelengths.Mechanism Because each compound absorbs light differently, absorption spectra are compound-specific and can be used to measure solute and solvent concentrations and determine reaction rates.
