Just think of the spirit among the
ASMC members during the meetings and how it drives teamwork in the office--an absolute "win-win" for the agency and the
ASMC chapter!
Fast-forward to the present day, which has given rise to a reactivation of
ASMC, which took wing late last year and has set into motion another chapter of the evolution, this round tied to ongoing efforts by large retailers seeking to take a tighter rein over store resets and shelf management functions through the creation of preferred-buyer programs.
Results: PAF stimulated
ASMC proliferation with its peak at 100nM.
The following executives will begin their term January 1, 2002 as Directors-at-Large of
ASMC's Foodservice Board of Directors:

Times have clearly changed at
ASMC and it will be interesting to see how long it takes the rest of the association world to understand the significance of
ASMC's decision.
For many years, FM professionals working on Cannon AFB saw little benefit from neither
ASMC membership nor the need to establish a local Chapter.
On its website,
ASMC lists as its officers Gary Chartrand, executive chairman of Jacksonville, Fla.-based Acosta Sales and Marketing Co., as board chairman (Chartrand also serves on the GMA Industry Affairs Council); directors Baum and Derek Wilson of British-based Andros UK; and Barry Moloney as secretary/treasurer, CFO and general counsel (Moloney has been a general counsel for GMA and currently serves in that capacity for the Foodservice Sales & Marketing Association).
ASMC created a new organizational structure, taking effect this year, to allow the Association to best serve the varying needs of its different membership segments.
