ANGPTL6(redirected from ARP5)
ANGPTL6A gene on chromosome 19p13.2 that encodes angiopoietin-like protein 6, which is thought to play roles in wound healing by promoting epidermal proliferation, remodelling and regeneration. It may promote chemotactic activity of endothelial cells and induce neovascularisation; it may also counteract dietary fat-induced obesity and accompanying insulin resistance by increasing energy expenditure.
