APOE Genotypes. The major APOE allelic variants [epsilon]2, [epsilon]3, and [epsilon]4 can be obtained from allelic combinations of the rs429358 and rs7412 polymorphisms.
A description of the cohort according to
APOE genotype is shown in Table 1.
It is widely acknowledged that APOE allele carriers are more likely to develop AD; however, the influences that
APOE genotypes exert on PD are not exactly the same.
Age at onset of temporal lobe seizure and
ApoE genotype polymorphism.
They showed that there were no differences in the
ApoE genotype distribution between the diabetic group and the healthy group.
The first study evaluated frequencies of
APOE genotypes and alleles in a population of Cayapas from Esmeraldas (n = 96) [19].
In order to evaluate the effect of the
ApoE genotype on the birth weight in different SGA subtypes the proportional odds model was used to assess ordinal data.
A prospective study of the association between
APOE genotype and the risk of myocardial infarction among apparently healthy men.
[18.] Aboud O, Mrak RE, Boop FA, Griffin WS (2013) Epilepsy: neuroinflammation, neurodegeneration, and
APOE genotype. Acta Neuropathol Commun 1: 41.
The confirmed positive association of serum apoA-I with diabetes in Turkish women was independent of
apoE genotype (e2/e3/e4) or of apoB levels (4), and serum apoE concentrations, independent of the
apoE genotype, were strongly associated with hypertiglyceridemic dyslipidemias, especially with that accompanying elevated apoB (22, 23).
Results: The
APOE genotype distribution in the patient group was as follows: [epsilon]3/[epsilon]3, 82.0%; [epsilon]3/[epsilon]4, 12.0%; and [epsilon]2/[epsilon]3, 6.0%.
This association in women remained robust in further analyses that adjusted for a history of stroke, age, education, and
APOE genotype status.
