ANO10

A gene on chromosome 3p22.1 that encodes anoctamin 10, a multipass protein thought to act as a calcium-activated chloride channel, which is highly expressed in the brain, especially in the frontal and occipital cortices of adults.

Molecular pathology
ANO10 mutations cause spinocerebellar ataxia type 10.
