Australian National Blood Pressure study. A therapeutic trial directed at treating diastolic hypertension (DBP) with chlorothiazide + methyldopa, ±propranolol or pindolol, to achieve the DBP goal of <90/80 mm Hg.
Conclusion DBP was 6 mm Hg lower in the treated group.
