RUNX3

A gene on chromosome 1p36 that encodes a member of the runt domain-containing family of transcription factors. A heterodimer of RUNX3 and a beta subunit form a complex found in a number of enhancers and promoters, and together either activate or suppress transcription. RUNX3 is a tumour suppressor which also interacts with other transcription factors.

Molecular pathology
RUNX3 deletion or transcriptional silence may be associated with cancer.

Recently, the method of amplifying a portion SSU rDNA of AMF targeted by improved primers AML1 and AML2 from whole root or spore DNA, then followed by cloning and sequencing, was used for AMF community research, and the new primers with much better specificity could amply all published AMF sequences except those from Archaeospora trappei [11].
The first PCR product was diluted 100 times with 1 x TE (1M Tris-HCl, 0.5 M EDTA, pH 8.0) buffer and 2.5 [micro]L was used as template DNA in second round PCR reaction performed using the specific primers AML1 and AML2 [11].

The current carbon copy AML2 paper form will stop being a valid form of pig movement reporting.
A SERIES of quick start guides is available to aid Welsh pig-keepers and abattoirs in setting up pig movement licences (AML2) electronically and help more businesses benefit from the new, free 'eAML2' service.
The eAML2 service has combined the Animal Movement Licence (AML2) and Food Chain Information (FCI) forms and made the whole process electronic, saving time and money when moving pigs to slaughter.
Any movement of pigs must be accompanied by an animal movement licence (AML2), which is a document recording details of the movement and which consists of four pages; the white copy is for your trading standards department, and has to be sent off within three days; the pink is for the destination premises (ie you); blue is for the haulier; and the yellow copy is for the departure premises.
From October 1, there will be a transitional period of six months for the phasing out of the paper-based AML2 forms.
From April 2012, the AML2 paper forms will cease to be a valid method of reporting movements.
It has combined the Animal Movement Licence (AML2) and Food Chain Information (FCI) forms - required when pigs are moved from farm to slaughter - and made the whole process paperless.
Dorothea Schiemann from the British Pig Executive (Bpex) said: "There will be a transitional period of six months for the phasing out of the paper-based AML2 forms, planned to start from October 1, 2011.
"From April 2012 the AML2 paper forms will cease to be a valid method of reporting movements.
