ALCOA

An acronym for “Attributable, Legible, Contemporaneous, Original, Accurate,” the “dimensions of data quality” that the US Food & Drug Administration (FDA) requires for a “source” document (e.g., case history, lab reports, observations and other data pertinent to the investigation) on each individual given an investigational drug or employed as a control.
