ACTU
AIDS Clinical Trials Unit. An NIH-sponsored clinic which has close ties with a major medical centre, and serves as the brick and mortar “storefront” for research trials in HIV and AIDS. ACTUs are staffed by specialised nurses, doctors, and support staff, and work with research clients and primary care physicians to coordinate the HIV care of individual HIV-infected patients.Segen's Medical Dictionary. © 2012 Farlex, Inc.
