HOXA9A gene on chromosome 7p15.2 that encodes a sequence-specific transcription factor of a developmental regulatory system, which provides cells with specific positional identities on the anterior-posterior axis and appears to be involved in gene expression, morphogenesis and differentiation.
A specific translation event, resulting in the fusion of HOXA11 and NUP98, which is associated with myeloid leukaemogenesis.
