ABCC10

ABCC10

A gene on chromosome 6p21.1 that encodes a protein of the MRP subfamily of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters, which transport various molecules across extra- and intracellular membranes, many of which are involved in multidrug resistance. ABCC10 is an ATP-dependent transporter, which may be involved in cellular detoxification by extruding lipophilic anion.

In particular, SYNE1 and ABCC10 were mutated, respectively, in the two RET-mutated cases (N53 and N57), while a missense p.G460S mutation of RAD54B, a gene involved in DNA repair process, affected a NF1 mutated case (N55).
In particular, SYNE1 and ABCC10 were mutated, respectively, in the two RET-mutated cases, while a missense p.G460S mutation of RAD54B affected a NF1 mutated case, suggesting these other events may play a potential role on PCCs pathogenesis and development.
