30-30-30-30 scalp massageA method of patient-performed preoperative expansion of the scalp in preparation for scalp-lifting as part of hair replacement surgery.
Thirty or more days before surgery, the patient grasps the posterior or lateral scalp hair and presses upward with the heels of the hands for 30 seconds, followed by a 30 second rest period; this is done for 30 minutes per day.
