2-plus-2 curriculum

A term referring to the traditional format for medical school education in which the first 2 years of medical school are dedicated to learning basic sciences—e.g., anatomy, physiology, pathology—and the last 2 years to clinical sciences—e.g., surgery, paediatrics, gynaecology.
