n.pl in Chinese traditional medicine, a description of the internal organ that links each to the five elements. Zang organs—including the lungs, liver, kidneys, and heart are predominantly yin and act as storage for important substances. Fu organs—including the stomach, intestines, bladder, gall bladder, and triple heater—are predominantly yang and are areas where vital fluids are in constant flux.
