a polarized aspect of ch′i that is active or positive energy. See also ch′i, yin.

yang (yangˑ),
n/adj the quality present, to a greater or lesser degree, in all phenomena, relating homeodynamically with yin according to the theoretic basis of Chinese medicine. Yang is like the sunny side of a mountain and is characterized as light, bright, warm, high, rising, external, active, moving, and clear.
