x-ray protection
includes taking x-rays only in designated areas, the use of portable warning signs when radiography is done elsewhere, the wearing of leadlined gloves and aprons by staff working near active apparatus, a red warning light which is switched on when the apparatus is being used. Personnel working near x-ray apparatus should wear dosimeter badges which are checked periodically.
