wig

A covering for the head to simulate hair if the individual is bald or partially bald. Wigs may be made of hair or synthetic fibers such as acrylic. Wigs are esp. beneficial for use by patients who have lost their hair due to exposure to certain types of cytotoxic agents used in cancer chemotherapy.
