Over the years, I have seen many weeping figs pruned in December or January that turned yellow immediately afterwards.
Its attractions include the Conservatory, built as a winter garden in 1908 and now full of the scent of heliotrope, and with banana and weeping figs providing a backdrop to a range of blooms.
Palms, weeping figs and ferns love a warm, humid atmosphere and large specimens of these varieties can make a statement.
