Teucrium chamaedrys, Teucrium officinale; parts used: whole plant; uses: joint inflammation, rheumatism, promotion of mild bowel movements, contraction of living tissues, digestion, flow of bile, repair of the intestinal lining, regulation of secretion of glycogen and insulin, carminative, induction of perspiration, diuretic, stimulation of physiologic processes, general health, gout, weight loss, wound healing; precautions: may cause liver damage. Also called
camedrio, common germander, germander, germandree petit chene, kamaderyos, and
yermesesi.
