cyclic vomiting  recurring attacks of vomiting.
dry vomiting  attempts at vomiting, with the ejection of nothing but gas.
pernicious vomiting  vomiting in pregnancy so severe as to threaten life.
vomiting of pregnancy  that occurring in pregnancy, especially early morning vomiting (morning sickness).
projectile vomiting  vomiting with the material ejected with great force.
stercoraceous vomiting  vomiting of fecal matter.

Vomiting occurring in the early months of pregnancy, as in morning sickness.

vomiting of pregnancy,
vomiting that occurs during the early months of pregnancy. Factors contributing to the condition include delayed stomach emptying during pregnancy, relaxation of the esophageal sphincter at the opening into the stomach, and relaxation of the diaphragmatic hiatus, all of which increase the risk of gastric reflux. Remember that statistically, women who experience nausea and vomiting of pregnancy are more likely to carry the pregnancy to term.
Between fifty and ninety-five percent of all pregnant women, as well as some women who use hormonal contraception experience morning sickness, which is also referred to as nausea, vomiting of pregnancy, or pregnancy sickness.
Extreme nausea and vomiting of pregnancy is a clinical condition termed Hyperemesis gravidarum .
