A condition which, like the post-trauma vision syndrome, is characterised by dysfunction of the ambient visual process, causing a misperception of self in space, and a shift in perceived visual midline.

These symptoms can be due to a condition called visual midline shift syndrome (VMSS), where objects directly in front of an individual are perceived as being off to the side; typically the shift is in the same direction as the head tilt/turn.
