vectis
short metal rod with a loop at each end used in canine and feline obstetrics. The loops are of a size that they will engage the cranium or the front of the head in long-nosed breeds and permit traction or rotation of the fetus.

Auction house Vectis says investors who have been rocked by the current financial turmoil are attracted by the long-term gains which can be made from collectables such as Dinky, Corgi and Matchbox.
